CryptoBriefing and CoinGape give opposite accounts of how ADA, HBAR, and DOT prices moved after Grayscale withdrew three altcoin ETF filings.
What all sources agree on
Grayscale withdrew Cardano, Hedera and Polkadot ETF S-1 registrations via three Form RW filings on Aug. 7, 2026.
The filings were accepted 190 seconds apart, at 4:33:37 p.m., 4:34:55 p.m., and 4:36:47 p.m. ET.
The Form RWs state the registrations had not been declared effective and that no securities had been or would be issued or sold.
The filings cite Rule 477 and give no substantive commercial or regulatory reason beyond boilerplate language that the sponsor does not intend to proceed with the planned distribution of shares.
NYSE Arca and Nasdaq had already withdrawn the corresponding exchange listing proposals in September and November 2025.
Other Grayscale altcoin registrations, including Bittensor, Aave, BNB, NEAR and Zcash, remained preliminary at the time of reporting.
Where the reports disagree
1Market price reaction of ADA, HBAR, and DOT following the withdrawals
Market reaction to the withdrawals was essentially flat. No significant price movement was observed in ADA, HBAR, or DOT following the announcement.
What would settle it: Historical price and volume data for ADA, HBAR, and DOT around the Aug. 7, 2026 filing timestamps from a market data provider.
What to make of it
Treat the filing details and timing of Grayscale's withdrawals as established; do not treat either claim about the price impact on ADA, HBAR, or DOT as settled until checked against market data for that specific window.
