Four of our earlier stories picked up new publisher confirmations or contradictory follow-on reporting today, and here is exactly what changed in each.
BIP-110's Two Endings
Our edition on the CLARITY Act delay carried Cointelegraph's Hodler's Digest, also run by BeInCrypto, stating that BIP-110, the proposed Bitcoin protocol change, had effectively died without a major confrontation. That was the record as filed, backed by two independent publishers.
Separately, Bitcoin.com News and CryptoSlate reported that a faction of BIP-110 supporters is organizing a minority chain fork, one that would reset proof-of-work parameters specifically to remove current miners from the new chain's validation process. This is not a correction of the first story. It is a second, differently sourced claim that sits in tension with "fizzled out." Details on timing, technical mechanics and support levels remain limited in that reporting, and we are treating the two as separate, two-publisher claims rather than collapsing them into one narrative.
A Death Toll's Fourth Feed
When we first carried the report of Fantom backer Harry Yeh's death after a fall from a tower in Paraguay, the underlying reporting came from CryptoBriefing. The record now shows four named publishers on the story, Coinfomania, CryptoBriefing, Protos and crypto.news, while our independent-publisher count sits at three. That gap is worth stating plainly: one of the four feeds carrying the story is understood to be republishing rather than independently reporting, which is why the confirmed-source count is lower than the feed count. Circumstances surrounding the fall remain limited in what has been reported.
SpaceX Share Swing Gains a Third Outlet
The SpaceX story, shares jumping 15% after touching a record low, was originally a Yahoo Finance report picked up by Invezz. The Cryptonomist EN has since carried the same figures, bringing the independent-publisher count to three. The cause of the swing still was not disclosed in any of the three versions we have seen, and we are not filling that gap with speculation.
JPMorgan's Target Firms to Four
The J.P. Morgan year-end 2026 S&P 500 target of 8,000 began as reporting attributed to the bank's own note. Since publication, CoinGape, CryptoBriefing, Finbold and Yahoo Finance have each carried the figure, taking the independent-publisher count to four, our highest of the day's updates. The reasoning cited across that reporting has stayed consistent, continued strength in artificial intelligence spending and corporate earnings, with no revision to the 8,000 figure itself in the outlets we track.
What moved today was not any single number but the shape of the evidence behind four stories, two claims that now sit side by side rather than one, a feed count that outran its confirmed-source count, and two stories whose publisher tallies grew from two to three and three to four respectively.
